CEO and Board Member of ecoATM Gazelle
Dave was most recently CEO and Board Member of ecoATM Gazelle, the world’s largest
smartphone and tablet recycler by volume. Between roughly 2015 and 2022, Dave took the
company from tens of millions in losses to over a hundred million in EBITDA, and from negative
equity value to $1 billion enterprise value, in so doing contributing to massively reducing global
toxic e-waste and emissions.
Dave was also Chief Strategy Officer at Clearwire, the joint wireless spectrum venture of
Google, Comcast, Intel, and Sprint which is now TMobile’s 5G network in the US. Prior to that,
he led product and technology at a messaging technology start-up which he co-founded and
successfully sold to Qualcomm’s Leap Wireless.
Dave started his civilian career at McKinsey after serving ten years as an officer in the US Navy
where he flew fighter jets including combat in Iraq. He is the father of five, a triathlete, mountain
biker, and surfer, and has an MBA from Harvard and a BA from the University of Pennsylvania.
